FAQ’s
How does a prayer quilt work?

Are prayer quilts religious or spiritual?
Prayer quilts are rooted in Christian tradition but are embraced across many spiritual communities as a meaningful tool of comfort and collective prayer.
What size are prayer quilts?
Most prayer quilts range from lap size around 36×48 inches to a full throw around 50×65 inches depending on the ministry making them.
What are you supposed to do with a prayer cloth?
You hold, wear, or place a prayer cloth over your body as a physical point of contact for healing and intercession as referenced in James 5:14.
What is dirty quilting?
Dirty quilting is a raw-edge technique where seams are intentionally left unfinished and allowed to fray, creating a rustic textured look popular in modern quilts.
Can I pray on a blanket if I don’t have a prayer mat?
Yes — God responds to the posture of your heart, not the surface beneath you, and a quilt or blanket is a completely acceptable place to pray.
